Presidential Electors
RCW 29.71
The purpose of the Presidential Electors, which constitutes the
College of Electors of the state of Washington, is to convene
in Olympia after each general presidential election to cast their
votes for their respective presidential candidates.
Funding for the Presidential Electors, previously appropriated
as a separate entity, was transferred to the Office of the Secretary
of State in Chapter 18, Laws of 1995, 2nd Special Session
(the 1995-97 appropriations act) effective July 1, 1995. All data
for this agency have been transferred to the Office of the Secretary
of State and are shown in that agency for comparability purposes.
